![]() | This
clock was the idea of a person who worked at Harris Corporation in Palm
Bay, Florida. It is about 15 inches wide, 10 inches high and 2.5
inches thick.
We offered several design options with computer images
showing frame shape, hands, numbers and color. It has a real
glass cover and uses our unique continuous-sweep second hand clock
drive. This particular
clock isn't for sale, but we can make a unique clock for your company.
Let us build one for you. Harris trademarks and logos are the property of Harris Corporation. They are used by Clocks by Sid with permission from Harris Corporation. |
| This clock was the idea of a person who worked at a Printed Circuit Board manufacturer. It is 12 inches square and 2.5 inches thick. The buyer provided the old PC Board and we did the rest. We offered a computer image showing options for the frame finish, hands and numbers colors and the option shown here really pleased the buyer. This clock has a real glass cover and has our unique continuous sweep second hand clock drive. Unfortunately, this particular clock can't be duplicated unless you have a similar PC Board. If so, let us build one for you. | |
| This is the "Twelve Grain Clock". A person charged with coming up with something unique for a retiring President of a major grain exporter asked if we could come up with a clock as a gift for him. She generally described her ideas. We provided a few computer images of suggestions. When we showed her this one, she said, "That's the one!" Under a little bit of time pressure, we were able to acquire twelve different grains, build the very difficult design with twelve individual grain compartments, all glass covered. The end result was a beautiful, large clock answering the buyer's needs, finished and delivered on time. | |
![]() | I was asked about carving out a name in wood. This particular clock is solid whitewood about 15 inches high and 8 inches wide. It hangs on the wall as shown, but comes with a wood base for display on a shelf. It can be finished in your choice of colors. Preferably, only four to five characters maximum. $50.00 (This clock's price. Yours could vary) |
| This same clock can also be seen in our gallery. It is 11 inches high and 8.5 inches wide. It was designed by a customer as a gift for someone who is really into bamboo and oriental decor. He provided the picture, frame color and chose the oval face layout. He gave us permission to duplicate his design in the same or various colors, number styles and hands. Check the options in our gallery, or we can modify it to your liking. $65.00 (This clock's price. Yours could vary) | |
"Lorrie's
Clock" is another example of a simple, self design. It features Lorrie's
home grown tomato as the face background. It is 8" Diameter and
has a standard 1/4" faceplate. No cover.
Standard quartz drive. Choose your own background,
colors and style!
$30.00 (This clock's price. Yours could vary) If you like this simple design, or something like it, mention Lorrie's Clock. |
| | This "Stove Clock" was designed by my wife, Jean. She was quite a chef. Our kitchen stove has a digital clock. She said some of her recipes called for some action after several seconds, but the stove clock was limited to minutes only. She sketched out what she thought would be a good design. My first layout was the "diamond" shape, which she didn't really like. I made a simple change so that it could hung as either a square or diamond shape. $35.00 |
If you have an idea for a clock design you may want, please go to our Contact Us
page and send us an email, or call us to discuss your needs. We
will work with you from a rough draft through a final design at no
charge! If you choose to have it built, we'll begin work on your clock and ship it as soon as possible. You
can design a clock using virtually any clock face photograph. For
some examples: kid's pictures, pets, your car, your house or a
favorite scenic view. We can also use a plain or background of
your choice such as marbled parchment paper. Or, we can make your
clock with almost any shape in natural or painted wood. And we
can make the
size, shape and finish you choose. Well...within reason. We
don't use plastic frames or plastic covers. We use a wide variety
of quality wood which can be naturally finished to a smooth hand rubbed
sheen, protected with a
polyurethane coating or a hand painted colored finish. It can
also be hand rubbed in a finish of natural lemon oil using no solvents.
If your
clock is covered, it will be with real glass, not clear plastic. Remember...every clock is individually hand crafted when ordered, so you need to make time for us, too!. |
